Jeannie the hip hippie
Continuing on the theme of hippie episodes of supernatural sitcoms: I loved watching I Dream Of Jeannie when I was growing up. In episode 67, Jeannie The Hip Hippie (first aired during season 3 on October 17, 1967), Jeannie and Tony are about to go on vacation. but Tony has to find a pop music group to perform at a charity bazaar that Mrs. Bellows is organizing.
They find a number of unsuspecting young men to play in the group. (Two of them are played by the duo of Boyce and Hart). Jeannie blinks instruments for them to play, and even transports them to to a recording studio where they meet a mod record producer Phil Spector more or less playing himself. Jeannie sits in at the drum kit during one number, Out 'n About.
JTHH was written by Christopher Golato, and directed by Hal Cooper.
Season 3 of IDOJ is not yet available on DVD. The first two seasons are. Hopefully the third batch will be out soon.
