Grease is the word

Ever since I saw Grease (1978, directed by Randal Kleiser) on September 1, 1978, I've thought it's been one of the most fun cinematic experiences one could ever have.

Sure, the movie is silly, and you know that Olivia Newton-John (then 30) and John Travolta (then 24) aren't teenagers. But that doesn't matter, because they do such a great job in their parts. Also, the story and the music are so engaging.

Summer lovin', had me a blast
Summer lovin', happened so fast
Met a girl crazy for me
Met a boy cute as can be
Summer days drifting away
To, uh oh, those summer nights

Well-a, well-a, well-a, uh!
