Capricorn One
I saw Capricorn One (1978, directed by Peter Hyams) at a drive-in on July 22, 1978.
It's an engaging sci-fi / espionage thriller. James Brolin, Sam Waterston and OJ Simpson (yeah, him) play astronauts on a doomed-before-it-starts Mars mission. They never take off; they're whisked away to a secret base in the desert where they have to fake the mission.
Elliott Gould plays an investigative reporter who's tracking rumours about the mission being faked. Brenda Vaccaro plays the wife of the Brolin's character. Hal Holbrook is great as a government bad guy. The suspense is good.
But the movie may have contributed to the many conspiracy theories about the moon landings being faked.
Anyway, catch it if you can.
