Moon unit (3)

I used some of the info from the Moonbase Alpha Technical Manual to figure out the putative dates of events in the series. The Moon breaks away from Earth on September 13, 1999. After that, dates are recorded as the number of days since breakaway.

I dumped the timeline info into an Excel spreadsheet, and then using some simple functions I was able to calculate the dates.

With the major changes in the show between seasons 1 and 2, they had to kill off several important characters and explain why Main Mission isn’t being used any longer. It’s also interesting to note that the events of season 1 unfold in about a year, but season two is spaced out (no pun intended) over almost six years.
